Probably, the person who thought that years should come and go could have been a prophet or closely related to the divine God and there was a strong purpose for that, but that is not very certain. I am not certainly very sure of how the new years are determined. Those who are familiar with the creation story may actually have a deeper understanding of that. Many countries get into the New Year several hours before others. That could be very synonymous with the Scandinavian countries and the polar countries where as many other countries get into the new year almost at the same time and indeed quite synonymous with the African continent. Yes, just last night, at around 12:00am, there were several voices of humans scattered in numerous locations.
